Payments On Hold

After the Invoices have been issued out, you need to check who still owes you money.

When the customer arrives to pay what they owe, you go to the Receiving Payments.

Payments on Hold are where Invoices marked Sale goes to on hold payment are kept.

Click the Receiving Payments button and click on Payments on Hold.

Firstly, select the Customer from the Invoice Number and Customer Name List and the details of the invoice will be displayed.

In the Paid How? box there are two choices.

Cash: When the Customer pays in Hard Cash

Other: For when the Customer pays by Cheque - Debit Card - Credit Card or other forms of payment.

In this example, we will select Cash.

Then Click the Received Button to let VC Invoice clear this debt from the Customers record and that payment has been received for that invoice.

Click the OK button to continue and click Main Menu to return.

Debit Payments

Debit Payments are where Invoices that have been marked Sale charged to credit account are kept.

Click the Receiving Payments button then click on Debit Payments.

Now, select the Customer from the Customer Names list and their details will be displayed.

According to the amount of money the Customer has given, type the amount in the How Much Going To Pay? box and click the Received button.

If the Customer only pays some of the debt, that's fine too. It just means the Customer owes less money and will stay in the Debit Payments until the full amount for that invoice to be cleared.

Click the OK button to continue and click the Main Menu button to return to the Main Screen.
